Creamed Spinach

Emma tried creamed spinach for the first time the other night. And, surprisingly, she ate it all up! She made some pretty funny faces while she ate, though! Unfortunately, we didn't get any good pictures. But, in other news, she's doing quite well these days. She gets up on her hands and knees all the time now, but still hasn't taken those first crawling steps yet. However, with our help holding her hands, she can go from laying down to sitting up to standing up. I think she really, really wants to walk instead of crawl. Of course, my child wants to do things backwards. haha Oh, and those two top teeth are really coming in now. Yay!

Just So Cute!

I have decided that my baby girl is the most adorable little girl in the entire world! Just look at those piggytails, those beautiful eyes, and that adorable smile! And the bits of bisquit that I couldn't get off her nose! hehehe Adorable!

So Intent...

So, I gave Em this new Gerber Biter Bisquit and she just loved it. At first she wasn't sure what to do with it, so I put it int her mouth to taste and then I put it in her hand for her to hold. As you can see here, she's trying to decide just what it is she's holding. She finally put it in her mouth and decided that it was very good. hehehe

Mess Maker

Alright, this picture is the epitimy of my daughter. She's all chill, has her leg up in the air (which, by the way, she gets from her mother), chewin' on a bisquit and making a mess. I just love this picture so much!

Ponies!

Oh my goodness! My daughter is so adorable! I snapped this photo in our kitchen last night as I was making dinner. Emma was running around like a crazy woman in her walker, slamming into walls and cabinets, and having a blast. I had just put her hair in these two ponytails and she was so adorable that I just had to take a picture! Also yesterday, she tried a Gerber Biter Bisquit. It's this big cookie-like thing that you can give them for a snack when they're teething. And it doesn't break off, it just disolves and gets mushy. She loved it! I'll have to put up some pictures of her eating it...she was such a mess!

Easter!

Today was Emma's very first Easter. Yay! We all went over to Aunt Cathy's for dinner and it was a fabulous time. Of course, Em will appreciate Easter Dinner much more next year when she doesn't have to eat smooshed up peas and rice cereal. hehehe Oh! And she now has her two bottom teeth! It's terrific! Well, not when you have to stick your finger in her mouth in order to rub Baby Oragel on her gums! :-P And, another milestone, she is now able to be set on her hands and knees and stay there rocking. She is also able to get up on her elbows and knees or her hands and toes all by herself. It's so great! But then I wonder..."why am I helping her do that? It's just making more work for myself!" hahaha

Emma's Boyfriend

Ok, I lied. This is the last one. But really, I just had to include a picture of Emma's little boyfriend, Noah. Hehehe He's so adorable!! They need to hang out more. Hopefully they'll have some playdates this summer so they can get to be best buds.

Last One....I promise!

Awww!!!! My baby girl looks a little Asian here, doesn't she? So adorable!!! I just love her!! :-)

Another One

Ok, I found another one that I really like. This one is of Grandpa Taylor and Em. I think it's so sweet how she's just snoozing on his lap. They look so cute together! Boy, if she tried that now, though, she'd be hanging off!! hahaha She's such a tall girl. I was talking to a lady in the supermarket the other day and she asked how old Emma was, so of course I said she was 7 months. And she said that her daughter was 1 year old and she was about the same size as Em! Can you believe that? This girl's gonna be a supermodel, or basketball player or something!

Old Pics

So, I was going through some pictures I have on my computer and I found a bunch from when Em was just born and when we brought her home. I think they're cute. This one is of Grandma Taylor and Em soon after she was born. She looks so different now! I can't believe how quickly time has gone and that Emma is already 7 months old. Before I know it she'll be running around!! I just can't believe Em was ever that tiny. My sweet baby girl!

Speed Racer

Emma had a ball with me at class last night. On Mondays I have to take her along with me when I teach, and last night I brought her walker with us. Boy did she love that! The floors at the studio are pergo, so she could just zoom around the big room as much as she pleased. And boy did she! As soon as I put her in the walker and gave her a couple of toys to play with, man she took off! And I'm not talking just bouncing around to get to where she wanted to go. No, she literally ran. She attacked a few of my kids, too. She just had a blast and I'm so glad. It's like having a puppy sometimes...you have to let them have enough room to run around! haha So, hopefully in our new house we'll have a room where she can zoom around. Or she'll just have to wait until she can walk on her own and then we'll be in trouble. Go, Speed Racer!

Pears and Peas

Ok, I think my child is weird. And I honestly am not trying to be mean, but she's a little strange. :-P I mean, what kid doesn't like sweet fruit? And, really, it's not that she doesn't like it, but rather she just only wants it at certain times. Like, for breakfast and not for lunch. I tried giving her some pears this afternoon for lunch and she just would not have it. So, I got to thinking...she's been doing this for a couple of days now, so maybe I should try a veggie? And, I did. I warmed up some peas she had leftover from Saturday's dinner, and what do you know? She ate the entire container! Unbelievable. She wanted a veggie over fruit? Like I said...my kid's weird. :-)

Early

So, I totally thought Emma woke up a full hour early this morning. I woke up to her laughing and playing coming over the monitor and when I looked over at the clock it said 6:10. I couldn't believe it! I was like "whoa! Em!", but then I was thinking how strange it would be for her to have woken up an hour early when she's been doing really well on her schedule for the past two weeks. So, I finally decided that I must be crazy and that I must have somehow missed daylight savings time. But I know that they always advertise it like crazy on T.V. , radio, and the internet and I didn't see a single thing about it this weekend. But, apparently I was just way out of the look this weekend and it really was daylight savings time. So, the upshot of the story is that Emma just followed her schedule and Daddy and I were the ones who were out of the know. :-)

Pbblllttt!!!

Emma's favorite new thing to do is blow raspberries. Cute, right? Well, not so cute when she has a mouthful of pears! haha She is just fascinated with her tongue these days. I don't know what it is about her tongue that intrigues her so much, but she just loves it. She's figuring out how to use it in different ways, which is good because that will help her learn how to talk. And speaking of talking, she is now saying "dada" quite a bit, "nananana", "nama", "yayayaya" and is even attempting "lalala". I'm very impressed. :-) Of course, I guess I'm a little biased since I am her mama, afterall.
